Xavier Susterac appointed Senior Vice President (SVP) of BASF`s Personal Care Europe business unit

  • Susterac took up his role on October 1, 2017
  • New SVP brings almost 30 years of experience in the chemicals industry

BASF appointed Xavier Susterac, aged 53, as Senior Vice President of its Personal Care Europe business unit, effective October 1, 2017. In his new position, Susterac succeeds Jan-Peter Sander, who retires after 30 years of service for the company in various business units and executive level roles.

Susterac joined BASF in 2010 and has held various executive-level roles in different markets since then, most recently as the sub-regional head for BASF in France, Italy, Iberia and Switzerland. He previously worked at Rohm and Haas, where he held positions in sales, marketing and management.

“I look forward to advancing the Personal Care business of BASF in Europe,” says Susterac. “We will build on the great work that has been done and further strengthen BASF as the leading supplier in the personal-care industry.”
